The Greater Moncton Scottish Association hosts the Annual Moncton Highland Games and Scottish Festival in June. 

The festival takes place the week before the Games with a church service, flag raisings, and open-air concerts. 

The week culminates on Saturday at the Hal Betts Sportsplex (on the corner of Assumptiono Blvd and Vaughn Harvey Blvd in Downtown Moncton, next to the Petitcodiac River) with the Moncton Highland Games.

This day-long event includes highland dance, pipes & drums, and heavy events competitions as well as demonstrations, workshops, live entertainment, and cultural exhibitions. 

For the younger children there is a kiddie’s area to take a break from all the excitement of the games. You may purchase food from onsite vendors. They have many tasty options including Canadian or Scottish fare for your eating delight.

The entertainment tent, which is open to all ages and features live Celtic music, is conveniently located next to the beer kiosk. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get away and spend an hour or a day imagining they’re in the Scottish Highlands.
